Pillow update.

I am happy to report that I have found "the pillow" I want to thank all of you bloggers for your wonderful suggestions. I went ahead and returned the pricey pillow and ordered this one. A water based pillow by Mediflow.

The pillow has a pouch you fill with water. You can adjust your choice of support by the amount of water you put in it. At first I listened to my husband and filled it to the limit, and guess what?.. It was too firm. I should of known better than to listen to him.. The next morning I took some water out, and got rid of the air bubbles and waited for night to come..

I can honestly say that my neck pain is disappearing, I don't wake up like 15 times a night, and sometimes it sort of reminds me of my mothers 1980s water bed.
( only when I move and hear the water)

The only thing I am worried about is a weird accident where in the middle of the night this pillow bursts. That would seriously only happen to me..

So far so good!

  1. IT sounds good Marissa, but I wonder if the water will stay clean. In a waterbed you had to keep chemicals in the water to keep out bacteria and odors. Just thinking~~~

  4. Glad you found a pillow that so far works for you. It's so important to get a good night's sleep. I remember that water beds! Showing my age I guess, but hubby and I had one and LOVED it! We must of kept it for at least 10 years. It was wonderful especially on cold nights when we would climb in and the bed would be sooo warm.

    Sweet dreams!

  10. Wow, that pillow sounds neat! We used a waterbed for a long time! But it got to where I had a hard time traveling as no one had a waterbed.. so we switched to a regular bed and now traveling isn't so hard to get used to a new bed. I'm glad it's helping your sleep. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

First off, thank you for your faithful trips to my blog. I'm all about cute and you are all about simple it seems yet we click on some level. Happy you found a pillow to rest your head. I love your sense of humor and you are probably a good match for your funny husband too. I read your post below and laughed out loud many times. It was fun getting to know you! I can't run the tv either or my cell phone.

  13. Marissa I am so happy for you about your pillow! I have a horrible neck problem from an accident and have an expensive pillow right now but it does not help my neck at all. I am going to check out this pillow. Thanks for posting about this. That Jodi Arias trial is really something else. This girl is just wacky. I hope she goes to prison for life, I don't believe her at all. Have a great weekend.

  14. Hi , I am glad this is helping. I get neck pain all the time. Never heard of a water pillow before? Sounds interesting. I been using a little rice bag that you put in the microwave to give some heat and that helps me a lot. Thanks for visiting, and I really appreciate the prayers you been sending. Have a great weekend!
    Blessings,

  17. I've never heard of a water filled pillow before. That's a neat invention! So glad to hear that it has helped your problem. I use a contoured memory foam pillow. I was having neck problems years ago and it seemed to solve my problem. Now, I never sleep anywhere without it!
