Perfect Afternoon

I am having hard time getting started on all the decorating when our weather is still so warm! Who wants to go up to the attic and hunt down ornaments, wreaths, and tangled lights?
My mind is thinking southern style iced tea with a twist of a ripe valley lemon
sitting in the porch enjoying, yet another piece of that delicious pecan pie, watching the hummingbirds sip the nectar off the fire-bush, and watching the wind blow this flag makes a perfect afternoon!

  1. Sounds like a perfect afternoon! Beautiful flag!

  2. I haven't done much decorating either. I'm just getting over Thanksgiving and now Christmas seems too soon! Eating leftovers pumpkin pie too..

  3. Hi Marissa,

Beautiful flag. It's the simple things in life that make us smile, isn't it? Like pecan pie!

Re: the trouble you had commenting at my place...strange, indeed! Your comment did not show up in my mailbox.

    Have a great week!

  4. I know what you mean. Living in the south, you never know what kind of weather to expect around the holidays. Sometimes it's warm and tropical and other times it's actually freezing! Just enjoy the warmth. That's always more comfortable! Sure makes hanging decorations more comfortable without the frozen fingers.

  5. I have barely started decorating, but put some lights up around our porch yesterday with the green pine garland. That helped my mood! It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Pecan pie and hummingbirds sound wonderful.

  6. Hey there! I'm going to be your swap partner for the Cup of Kindness swap! I just thought I would stop by and check out some of your posts. I know what you mean about it seeming too warm for Christmas decorations, we just started putting up some lights and garlands out on our porch yesterday and I was wearing shorts! So weird. Haha. Looking forward to our swap.

  7. Hey there,
You'll have to excuse me, I am new to Blogger and so I haven't quite got the whole communication thing down, so I just decided to comment this. Here is my email: email me your address for the swap and I will reply with my address. Sound good?
