Back Yard make over Phase 1 The fence.

Its been a while I know, but I really, really have been so busy

 between getting our backyard fence,  baptismal classes, and so

  many other things that life throws at you , I honestly had not had a chance for blogging. I am trying to catch up every chance I get . Right now, its perfect. She is napping, I have the dryer going, my phone is off  and praise God the kitchen is clean.

Here's the deal... never underestimate the power of privacy.

I will never take that for granted again.

Its amazing.

Tealyn and I have been reading books in the shade, lying lazy in the hammock, looking at birds, listening to sesame street classic music on pandora.  And I feel confident that no one is staring or noticing that I am wearing my trusty black stretchy yoga pants 3 days in a row.

And, even though,  I got a little sick with the cedar dust (allergies) and felt light headed for several days.

I still think it was worth it.

I am so excited.....

loving these days.

The days are sometimes long and full of laundry.

Naps are short and some days shorter 

especially when teething.

everything is new and full of wonder.

I'm just loving these days that soon

will fade.

All I can do is hold you tight.

and live in 

this very moment.

A sweet reminder.

I was on a mission all this month to go out in my yard and get my toes in the mud. I wanted to

clean around the bushes, and get this place spruced up again, so 

the first chance I got, I went out with the baby and my

pruning shears.

I was in a hurry because I had her in the stroller

and

thought what if a she gets fussy and I can't finish? 

Then I was reminded

And , so I did.

I slowed down and took my time. When she got fussy, I took a  break.When she got hungry, I stopped and fed her. When she got sleepy, I went inside and laid her down. It took me a little longer

than it would have , but really does it matter? 

She is my constant reminder of how not sweat the small stuff

and 

enjoy life at a slower pace.

And we are.

Three months.

Sweet Tealyn, I can't believe you are 3 months already.

I wish, I could just stop time 

and

hold you in my arms forever.

You have brought nothing, but pure joy to our lives.

You are growing so fast.

You are now stretching, kicking, cooing, smiling, babbling and sucking on your hand.

Your favorites are:

taking a warm bath and getting in the car seat.

You dislike:

heavy blankets and getting your arms though clothes.

You are now also taking longer naps and getting into a schedule.

And when you give us big smiles like this 

it just

melts our hearts.

Happy 3 months my sweet cup of Tea.

                                                         Happy New Year to all of you!

I have been busy being a mommy that, I actually forgot my blogger password when logging in.
I am so happy to get back to a routine around here. No more eating fancy candy and left over sweets My husbands back to work and now I can finally do some REAL cleaning and de-cluttering.
                                                         

                                                                   

I love it when things are put away and in order 

makes me feel sane.

we are using our fireplace more...It has been in the 40s here that is 

COLD 

for us!!!

I am hoping my plants make it though this awful weather...

and if they don't well, there is always

Spring planting.

I am looking forward to all that's in store for us in 

2014~

Christmas around my house.

I am keeping it simple and not over-doing it. 

After all, I am running oh, on about 3 hours of sleep.

I had bought a set of new ornaments a while back (like 5 yrs ago) and 

was excited to put them up this year.

 I think they are so cute and so much fun for

I love them so much, I may use them again for next year too.

Tealyns first photo shoot.

I had a local photographer come over and do a "newborn" session a  few weeks ago.

Crystal Rodriguez of

was very accommodating. She brought her lights, props, tons of bows, a suitcase full of different outfits, and a whole lot of patience..

Here are some of the pictures she took .

All these poses took 4 hours. The room was heated to make her feel comfortable .

I was very pleased with her work. I think she did an amazing job!
