Smell of Gardenias

This morning, I woke up to my Gardenia bush blooming! I have been anxiously waiting on a flower or two..

I thought about leaving them alone all morning...

But then, I had a better idea!..

I thought they could give me better company inside...
The smell is like no other... Pure heaven!... As, I walk through my kitchen, I get a sudden burst of sweet,clean, delicate perfume filling the air.
Don't you just love the purity of whiteness in a flower?

I think Gardenia flowers would make a beautiful brides bouquet... Don't you think?
I can hardly wait for the next flowers..

Life's Little Interruptions

Life... "Let me interrupt your life for just a bit to let you know that if you don't clean those coils your going to have a $$$ major problem"

And, that is exactly what happened yesterday when our AC gave out!

After a long restless, humid night a friend of my brother in law's arrived ready to clean those coils. He had already determined that all it needed was just a cleaning. Thank God!

We were so happy to see him so early in the morning!
He pointed out that when its this dirty it stops making contact to protect itself.
Apparently it hadn't been clean in 10 yrs...
Look at all that dirt...
He than came inside to unsolder a copper pipe.
And, I thought he was just coming over to power wash the unit.
After, the coils were clean he gave us a couple of tips on how to maintain our unit simple things that can make a big difference! So, our life was interrupted for a day and in the end we paid $150.00 but, in the process I learned a few things.

A great day!

Today, is one of those days when everything seems to be perfect!.. My next door neighbor brought me some of her rose cuttings.
Aren't they beautiful?...
I, have been meaning to return the favor, and perhaps bake her some cookies...
My bird of paradise is blooming and is putting on quite a show.
Had the most delicious guacamole burger at Red Robin.
In case your wondering...I only ate half!

And if you believe that, then I have a bridge to sell you.

And, finally took our usual Sunday's drive and discovered many country roads.
A perfect Sunday!
